Terms and Conditions for Nikki's Kitchen
Booking and Deposits
- A 50% deposit of the total cost is required to secure your booking. Please send the deposit via e-transfer to: order@nikkiskitchen.ca.
Communication:
- We strive to respond to all inquiries and messages within 48 hours. Please ensure that any messages left on our answering service include accurate contact information for a return call.
Delivery:
- Delivery is available within a 30 km radius (Russell, Metcalfe, Embrun, Vars and Casselman) for a fee of $25. For locations outside the 30 km radius, the fee is $25 plus $0.50 per additional kilometer.
COVID-19 Policy for Postponements & Cancellations:
Postponements:
- If you need to postpone your event due to COVID-19:
- If we are available on your new date, your deposit and any payments will transfer to the new date. The remaining balance will be due on the day of delivery/pickup or 4 weeks before the new event date.
- If we are not available on your new date, 50% of your deposit will be refunded, and any additional payments will be fully refunded.
- If work has already begun on your order, the cost of materials and labor will be deducted from your deposit, with 50% of the remainder refunded. We will provide a photo and itemized list of costs.
Cancellations:
- If you need to cancel your event due to COVID-19:
- 50% of your deposit will be refunded, and any additional payments will be fully refunded.

Order Details and Deposits:
- A non-refundable 50% deposit is required for custom orders to secure your date. All details must be received 3-4 days before the event (excluding weddings). If information and the deposit are not received, the order will not be processed.
**Delivery and Pickup:**
- The client must provide a suitable, stable, and level surface in a cool environment for the cakes and desserts. Nikki's Kitchen is not responsible for damages after delivery and setup.
- If you choose to pick up your order, you assume all responsibility for its condition once it leaves our premises.
Wedding Orders:
- A damage deposit is required for rental items, refunded upon their return in good condition.
- A 50% non-refundable retaining fee is required to secure your date.
- Payment methods include cash, cheque, or e-transfer. Post-dated cheques are not accepted.
- Full payment is required 14 days before the delivery date.
- Cancellations within 14 days of the delivery date require full payment of the remaining balance.
- Changes to the cake design must be made at least 5 weeks prior to the delivery date.
- Nikki's Kitchen is not responsible for the condition of fresh flowers provided by an external florist.
- We reserve the right to use our creative judgment on the final design as agreed upon in the contract.
Taste Testing:
- Taste testing packages are available as cupcake boxes for $70. If you book with us, you receive a 40% rebate on the tasting box.
- Orders for tasting boxes must be placed at least 3 days in advance.
Product Reviews:
- We value customer satisfaction and will work to resolve any issues. Please contact us if you are dissatisfied with our products or service.
Inspiration Photos:
- While we welcome inspiration photos, we cannot guarantee exact replicas. Each cake artist has a unique style, and we recommend reviewing our portfolio to understand our work quality and style.
Pricing:
- Base prices are for a 2-layer cake with basic buttercream filling and covering. Additional charges apply for extra design elements, tiers, fondant decorations, and other custom features.
- Prices are guidelines and may change based on the complexity of your design requirements.
Food Allergies
- Any food allergies must be mentioned at the time of the order. While we strive to do our best to eliminate any cross contamination, we cannot guarantee 100% that our products are 100% free of any allergens.
